Application of delegated acts

The Drinking Water Directive (DWD) requires EU Member States to adopt, by December 31, 2036, a limit for lead release in drinking water set at 5 μg/l.
According to Decision 2024/367, starting from December 31, 2026, only alloys included in the EU positive list may be used.

Currently, the alloys already compliant and available for contact with drinking water include:
CW509L (Pb max 0.2%)
CW510L (Pb max 0.2%)
CW724R

As the deadline for adopting the new regulations approaches, it is crucial that brass alloy manufacturers and suppliers are informed and adapt to ensure compliance. For further details, please refer to the attached text.
